Dr Harriet Clompus

Consultant Community Paediatrician, Sussex Community Foundation Trust

• Lead for the Autism assessment team at Seaside View Child development centre which serves the under 11 years population of Brighton and Hove.
• In this role, she came into contact with families and children and young people who have struggled in various ways due to their differences.
• The children whom she diagnosed with Autism represent a very wide spectrum and we learn so much from them all. Our understanding of Autism is continually growing and evolving through our clinical practise.
• She is on the ACoRNS Steering Committee, which aims to promote and develop research into Autism in the region, as robust research is fundamental to increasing knowledge and refining our practice, always with the underlying aim of making things better for people with Autism/Autistic people.

Dr Pramod Jog

MBBS, MD (Pediatrics)

• Dr Pramod Jog is a Senior Pediatrician & Professor at D.Y. Patil Medical College, Pune, having an immense professional experience of over 40 years.
• He was President of IAP, 2016 and Vice President of Infectious Disease Chapter of IAP.
• He has served as SC Member of International Pediatric Association (IPA) & GAVI (CSO), 2016-19.
• Dr Jog has also served as the Chairman of IAP Advisory Committee on Immunization, 2015-17.
• He is a Committee Member of Asian Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• He is a Senior Consultant, UNICEF and Chief Editor, Times of Pediatrics.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Early identification and diagnosis of autism & understanding spectrum
• Understanding when to do genetic testing
• Understanding severity & prognosis in ASD
• Differentiate ADHD from other behavioral or development disorders
• Understand management strategies including behavioral therapy, parent training & pharmacological treatments
• Understanding impact of ADHD & its treatment on growth, sleep & overall development
